
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player plays as a striker for San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) and is captain of the San Diego Wave FC. She was also the co-captain for the United States women's soccer team between 2018 and 2020, along with Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was chosen by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional there , and was a key player in winning the league championship. Morgan was 22 at the time, and was one of the youngest players on the national team at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team came in second. In 2012's London Olympics she scored the winning goal in the 123rd minute of the semi-final against Canada. She ended 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists, joining Mia Hamm as the only American woman who scored 20 goals and record 20 assists in the same calendar year and making her the sixth the youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in one season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, and was a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist.
