Melissa Oneil

MelissaMelissa Crystal O'Neil, born on July 12, 1988[1], is a Canadian singer/actress from Canada. In 2005, O'Neil won the third season of Canadian Idol, the first Canadian female to be a winner of. In her role as an actress, she is most well-known for her role as Two and Rebecca as Two / Rebecca / Portia Lin on the Syfy science fiction series Dark Matter and as Officer Lucy Chen on the ABC police procedural drama The Rookie.Although she was highly praised by the judges, O'Neil had a huge setback in both the Top 10 and Top 9 weeks of the finals, because she was in the bottom three and bottom two in both the bottom three and bottom two. Shocked by this, the judges asked viewers to cast their votes for contestants like Melissa who clearly had the greatest vocal talent. O'Neil's performance was consistently praised and O'Neil was not relegated to the bottom 3. Zack Werner, the judge, declared O'Neil "a contender to win everything". The 7th of September, 2005 O'Neil was able to make it into the final two contestants of the competition, along with Goudie. After many more spectacular performances and performances, judge Werner famously declared that the headlines of the next day's news would be "The King, Kalan Porter has passed away and long live the Queen." O'Neil defeated Goudie in the final results shows on September 14, 2005 . He went on to win the title of Canada's third Idol.
