Jana Kramer bio

Country-pop and actor songwriter Jana Kramer rose to fame in the world of television when she joined the team of One Tree Hill as Alex for its final three seasons. Her first few releases as a country singer appeared on the episodes of the series helping her debut album of the same name to make it into the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. Thirty One (2015), the album which followed in 2015, was also among the Top Ten. The decade ended with her appearances on Dancing with the Stars, television shows, and singles that were not album tracks. In 2021, she released the self-doubting Voices. Jana Rae Kramer was born and was raised in Rochester Hills Michigan. She grew up listening to country music, and eventually went on to make a go of it as a recording artist. But, she first made an acting debut when she was an teen in the 2002 indie horror film Dead/Undead. Guest spots on TV shows like All My Children and CSI: NY followed over the next few years until she landed the part as Noelle Davenport on NBC's Friday Night Lights in the course of the show's second season, 2007-2008. Kramer then appeared on 90210 in the role of Portia Randson from 2008-2009, and as Brooke Manning for Entourage 2009. Then in 2009, she was part of One Tree Hill's cast as Alex Dupre. Kramer remained in the role until midway through the final season of One Tree Hill. Jana Kramer Kramer's run on One Tree Hill saw her signing a contract for a single with Elektra Records. In 2011 she released her modern love song from the country genre, I Won't Let Go. The track debuted in mid-2012 and was featured on her first complete album Jana Kramer. Billboard Top Country Albums ranked it among the Top Five. She remained focused on her career in music following that, and not resigning from acting she was a part of films such as Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016 that would appeal to her music fanbase. In October of 2015, Kramer released Thirty One with Warner Music Nashville. I Got the Boy (a Top Five country single) as well as Steven Tyler's duet with Aerosmith helped the album to be even more successful, reaching the number three place in the Billboard 200. Her two-month appearance on the Dancing with the Stars 23rd season ended in her placing 4th. That same year she made a splash with an adult contemporary track with Straight No Chaser's Feels like Christmas.
