Robyn Rihanna, better known as Rihanna in Barbados is a Barbadian performer and musician who has penned hits songs like Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. Rihanna is among the most popular artists ever. In her prime she's sold over 150 million songs and 41 million albums around the world. Her birthplace was in Barbados and had a childhood filled with reggae. Once she was able singing, she was a professional performer. Afraid of her chaotic family life and the constant arguments between her parents, she became immersed into music. Soon, she decided that she would like to be a professional singer. She formed a musical group when she was still in high school and was able to have take part in an audition for music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed by the teenager's talents. The girl relocated to New York to start a profession as a full-time singer. Her debut album was soon launched and Rihanna became a musical sensation within a short time. The songs that were aplenty of foot tapping became the hot favorites of younger fans, prompting her to get into film too. A beautiful young woman with a great talent, she's today considered the teen idol of today and also a fashion icon.
